Machine learning – essential in information technology

December 21, 2018

You probably have heard of machine learning, but what really it is and its application? Is it really essential for information technology? Machine learning is a data analysis method that uses algorithms that learn from data and then produces specific result weight having the need to be programmed. It is the algorithm that does all the work such as analyzing data, how these data are used, and how to generate responses based in calculations so as to interact with the users automatically.

Machine learning is used in many ways such as generating web search results, providing fraud detection, and filtering spam emails. These are important for companies, especially for driving businesses. With the help of machine learning, businesses can personalize their customer experience and see to it that they will be able to reach their target market. This only proves that machine learning is an integral part of information technology, which will benefit business owners and other industries too.

If you are a business owner or working in an industry where information dissemination is a big factor, then you need to consider machine learning. It will be a big help to your business. It will put your business in an advantageous position. Machine learning leads to better information dissemination, which in turn create a tremendous money-making opportunity for yourself and for the business as a whole.

Unfortunately, not everyone understands the concept of machine learning. Many are still in the infantile stage which is why computer experts stressed the importance of machine learning and incorporate it into various sectors. One man who is into machine learning is Dov Katz. He is a guy from Israel who has a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He moved to the United States and took up his masters and Ph.D. degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His post-doc fellow is at the Robotics Institute.

Dov Katz was involved in various research and patents. Most of his work has something to do with machine learning, robotics, virtual reality, AI, and augmented reality. He worked for one of the highly reputable technology companies in the world; Oculus. He was a senior engineer for computer vision and a part of the team who created Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. Dov was the one who created the original position tracking system. He remained with the company until it was acquired by Facebook.
